Car Seat Headrest Living While Starving EP

Honestly, I didn't think I was gonna like all of this album. I first started listening to "It's Only Sex" and "Devil Moon" and didn't expect to like anything else. I'm not really one who listens to a lot of indie, especially if it's newer or has the type of lyrics/tone where they seem to just be talking. I'm not sure how else to describe it. But, I was really surprised. I ended up enjoying all 5 songs and quickly added them to my library. I like how consistent the band was in keeping the same theme and vibe. It really sets the tone. Also, I listened to this album when I wasn't doing so good mentally, but this album made me see things in a brighter, almost bittersweet way. Actually, fun fact, I started listening to "It's Only Sex" after my situationship started to get touchy and I wasn't sure if I liked it or not. It was the first time I was touched, and god, that song really summed up how I was feeling. As for the rest of the album, it also summed up how I was feeling at certain points of my depressive episode.
